Scope and beneficiary of the scheme

The government distributed free smartphones to 40 lakh women in the first phase.Now in the second phase and 90 lakh women will be given free mobiles.That is, about 1.30 crore women will get the benefit of this scheme in total.Not only mobile, but with it free internet data and calling facility will also be provided, so that women will be able to connect easily to the digital world.
