New GST Rates 2025: The Government of India has taken a major decision to promote solar energy in the country and to give relief to common consumers.Since 22 September 2025, the GST rate on solar panels and related devices has been reduced from 12% to 5%.This change will not only benefit domestic consumers, but farmers, industries and electricity distribution companies will also get direct benefit.

After the implementation of the new GST rates, the cost of the roftop solar system will be directly benefited.

Farmers will now be able to buy solar equipment and pumps at a lower price than before.
