New range of transactions

RBI has made it clear that now any person will be able to transact up to a maximum of Rs 10,000 through ₹ 500 notes.

Note authenticity check now mandatory

According to the new rules, it will be necessary to check its truth while taking a note of ₹ 500 to any shop, institution or person.

New process of depositing old notes

If someone has old ₹ 500 notes, then they will not be deposited directly in the bank.

Tight penalty on fake currency

The RBI has clarified that strict action will be taken against the person caught with a fake ₹ 500 note.
